Some adjustable rate mortgages provide the new homeowner rates by period. The teaser interest rates will be lower than the index rate for a specified period of time. With the low interest rate, many homeowners in the first attempt may occur to allow payments. However, the roadblock to homeowners is that the teaser rate will not last forever, and it could carry the risk of foreclosure higher in the future.
