CPUs Get The Job Done
November 26th, 2009
I have a lot of computer programs. Most of the time I never stop and think about what makes a program work or how it knows all the functions I want it to do. I just always assumed it was way over my head. So when I found out it was the CPU that made the program tick, I had to do more research.
A CPU or central processing center is the part of the computer that makes programs and other computer functions perform the jobs they were intended to do. At one time specific CPUs had to be designed for each program but now they are designed to perform one or many functions. Just when I thought he program was the brains behind the operation, I find out differently.
