My Office Was Outdated, So I bought New Desk chairs
October 31st, 2009
Desk chairs for the office are available in many different sizes, shapes and types. When replacing office chairs you may choose a traditional chair, a leather office chair or even an ergonomic swivel chair. The most important features of any office chair are comfort and support.
A heavy use desk chair is made for the employee who spends most of the work day in their chair. These should include a tilt angle for adjustable back support with a synchronized tilt control which allows the back to follow the person forward when they lean forward.
A moderate use desk chair should include a knee tilt feature which allows the employee to lean back in the chair while keeping their feet on the floor.
An executive normally chooses a leather office chair. These are generally larger and allow for repositioning in the chair often. There are many choices of leather color, height of back and seat and arm height in a leather office chair to consider. These desk chairs generally are more expensive but well made and will last for years.
A newer type of desk chair is the ergonomic chair. These are also called kneeling chairs. Many young executives who are at their computer all day long, prefer this type of chair. They look a bit different in that you have no back on the chair, but the memory foam cushioning on the knee pads is actually very comfortable. This ergonomic chair was created for the healthy positioning of the spine and legs and it improves circulation
