Reciprocating links from site to site
October 31st, 2009
Reciprocal link building was once thought of as a great way to improve SEO. Reciprocal link building refers to the trading of links between two different websites. Some sites will link to about any-and-every site that is willing to link to them. These practices may get sites in trouble. Many search engines are changing their algorithms in order to combat these practices, which manipulate their system of finding the best and most relevant sources. Thus, it is important to only reciprocate relevant content. Also do your due diligence and make sure your reciprocal partners is not being blocked and do not have more than about 50 other links.
