The Story Behind Eckhart Tolle

November 20th, 2009

Eckhart Tolle was born in the year 1948, on the 16th of February in Germany. He was then named as Ulrich Leonard Tolle. As a young kid he grew up with his father in the country of Spain, between the ages of 13 and 19. Hereafter, he shifted based to UK. He flatly and adamantly refused to attend any form of formal education. He made up for this by studying by himself, in areas that sparked his interest, such as literature and astronomy etc. Upon growing up he managed to graduate at Cambridge University, following which he commenced a doctoral program, but did not finish the same. After several years of suffering from depressive and suicidal behavioral and psychological tendencies, he finally proclaimed an inner transformation. Today, a world-famed spiritual writer and lecturer, he has authored several master pieces, such as “The Power of Now”, “Guardians of Being” and many more.
