What Absorbent Do You Need?

In order to decide what kind of absorbent you need for your spill kits, you need to take a few things into consideration. First of all, what type of liquids will you be trying to take care of? You need to know whether it will be oils, solvents and water, or acids and bases that can be very corrosive. Or you might possibly have a mixture of some of these. Secondly, you are going to need to guess at the size of the spill likely to take place. Thirdly, is it going to take place in a relatively low-traffic or high-traffic area? Once you figure out these things there is only one thing left to do – and that is to choose the form or packaging that works best for your workplace and function.
