What Are Outplacement Services and How Can They Help Me?

For the past ten years, I have worked for the same company. Recently, I was at home ill and a colleague of mine sent me an email that told me that some of the positions in the company were being terminated, and mine might be among those that would longer be in existence. He told me that the company had mentioned outplacement services sydney has to offer. He did not give any explanation beyond that, so now I am finding myself wondering what exactly he was talking about. I wonder if this is some kind of support system that will help me find employment elsewhere.
