I am so glad we have a kids kitchen for those wintery days when it is impossible to go out and the kids are restless. My daughter seems to be able to get that restlessness out by playing with her kitchen. We have pretended that she has a pizza restaurant and that she has to deliver the pizzas too. This gets her to have some physical activity even while in doors. We name each room in our house by a last name like the Millers or the Olsons, we pretend that family lives there and have her deliver their pizzas. I find that it is better than having her veg out in front of the t.v. at least this way she is doing something creative and active.

Like every other year, I will be getting my son a bouncy castle for his birthday. He is quite excited about this, and cannot wait for the weekend to come.
