Compulsory car registrations
March 27th, 2010
car registrations are usually the compulsory registration of a vehicle with a government authority. Vehicle registration’s purpose is to ease government regulation, punishment, or taxation of motorists or vehicle owners. Vehicles are often uniquely identified by a vehicle identification number. Registered vehicles typically display a vehicle registration plate. Car registration in the United States is managed by each state’s department of motor vehicles (DMV) or another agency if one does not exist (e.g., Texas Department of Transportation).
Different states have different rules regarding the registration, but please do remember to register as soon as you are ready with paperworks, just to avoid late charges!
