Pain Won’t Prevent My Bicycling
September 1st, 2010
As an avid cycling enthusiast, not being able to ride my bicycle due to leg pain is a major hassle. I just don’t feel normal without my daily ride. The cause of the pain could possibly be sciatica and unless treated promptly will continue to interrupt my bicycling routine. So how can you alleviate sciatica? After seeking medical treatment, I’ve learned that performing stretching exercises like yoga and warming up properly before getting on the bike are very effective in combatting the pain. I would also apply a heating pad while resting to loosen up the muscles. After a couple of days of using this treatment plan, the pain subsided and has not returned.
