Podiatry is a health professional speciality that is focused on the prevention, analysis and treating conditions of the foot as well as relevant complications. Podiatric doctors handle an array of conditions which cover anything from flat feet to calluses to claw toes to sports injury to metatarsalgia. They use an array of treatment procedures that vary from surgical to mechanical to physiotherapy to manipulation. Podiatric doctors operate in a wide range of facilities from personal business to local community health centers as well as public hospitals. The range of practice of the podiatric doctor or the things they can in fact perform can differ significantly from state to state as well as ıs dependent upon the education they get.
