Cowper’s glands

November 23rd, 2009

Cowper’s glands: These are paired small and ovoid glands opening at the base of the urethra.  These glands secrete and alkaline lubricating fluid.

The ovaries are paired organs measuring about 3cm in length, 2cm in breadth and 1cm, in thickness, pinkish in colour.

They lie on the lateral wall of the pelvis and remain attached by a band of peritoneum, the mesovarium.

The ovary is divisible into a central medulla and a peripheral cortex ; primary and secondary (Graafian follicles) are found in the medulla.medical billing training helps in these terms. However the knowledge of anat and physio is must.
