Lookup Number

I recently moved to a new location and with that comes it own new bag of tricks that I have to sort out. For one, I of course had to change my phone number and it looks like the last person that had the number was quite popular. Is there any way that I can do a lookup number for this number to find out the previous owners of it? I would like to be able to refer people or businesses on to the correct phone number so that they stop calling me on my new line and find the person they are looking for.
