The City Around a River Shown by a Medellin Driver
March 31st, 2010
Medellin is a beautiful valley crossed entirely by its river, a 98 kilometers trail that starts at the San Miguel heights, towards the Aburrá valley, 3.100 above sea level. It crosses the valley from south to north working as an articulating axis. You can make the same journey if you hire a Medellin driver to take you from south to north of the city only by one highway. A total of 54 streams (out of the 57 ones irrigating the valley) deliver their waters to the river including the Santa Elena and La Iguana Streams. There are a lot of bridges everywhere.
